My Place Hotel Review: Billings, Montana

There's so much to love about Big Sky Montana! And if you need a place to crash, this might be it.

My Place Hotel Review: Billings, Montana

Today we'd like to offer up our My Place Hotel Billings review from our recent stay at this property. We sought out this hotel due to our first time experience with this brand in Watertown, South Dakota.

Because we were traveling across Montana to visit Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park, we needed a hotel that could meet three criteria: It must have a kitchen for our keto meal prep. It had to be affordable because we're on a budget. And we wanted something clean and comfortable for peace of mind.

So far all the My Place Hotels have offered us that.

We couldn't agree more! Hotel crashing in Billings was a great experience. Here's a breakdown on our thoughts.

The Location

Located just north of Interstate 90 and west of South Billings Blvd., you will find this hotel has easy access and plenty of options for nearby restaurants. It's a short drive to Cabelas or Sams Club if you need camping supplies or groceries. It's also close to several parks if you want to get out and have some fun.

The Property

My Place Hotel Billings is a nice property and well maintained. The area was clean and quiet and felt safe. Walking into the lobby you will notice it's bright and cheerful and the staff was super friendly.

The amenities are standard to other hotel chains. Free parking, free high speed Wifi, flat screen TV with HDMI hookups, laundry facility, business center, complimentary coffee, and a "MyStore" with food and beverages are all offered.

Additionally you can also get order breakfast in advance and have it delivered to your room, which is certainly not offered at many other hotel chains.

The Room

Walking into the Double Queen Bed room was refreshing. It was very clean, well maintained, and spacious for our needs.

Having a full sized kitchen is something we always prefer and MyPlace delivers! The plush beds and microfiber linens were extremely comfortable which is above standard for hotels. And the WiFi worked great which doesn't always happen with some places we've visited.

The rest of the room amenities were fine. This is not a luxury experience by any means, but then that's not what we were looking for either. What mattered was that it met our expectations and was a quiet stay.

OH ... an added feature I like is the beer bottle opener installed on the cabinet. After losing so many openers, this made my life a lot easier for enjoying my delicious IPAs.

The Price

While we prefer to keep our nightly room rate at $80 or less, it's not always possible. When you stay at hotels closer to national parks, you unfortunately have to pay more as well as deal with more tourists and booked rooms.

MyPlace Hotel Billings was around $119 per night when we crashed there but depending on the season, you should expect higher rates. They do offer military discounts and member rewards though.

Final Thoughts

Despite the room rates that can fluctuate with tourist seasons, we found this to be a great value for the money. Cooking your own meals will save you on expenses and the ability to get to the national parks from this location is a plus. We wouldn't hesitate at all to stay here again from a property or room perspective.

That's it for the My Place Hotel Billings review. We hope you found this useful. Safe travels and we'll share more hotel reviews soon.
